- Record amounts of capital – which will provide more resources for the entire ecosystem of startups and high-growth companies
- Growing divide between the haves and have-notes – with particularly strong interest in unicorns, “soon-icorns,” and pre-IPO candidates
- SPACs – which will compete with private equity for new deals, but will also provide more exits for portfolio companies
- Sector focus – with a particular focus on life sciences, automation, AI, and my favorite category – supply chain
